Li Weiyi

Dream, 2020, steel, 200 × 257 cm

Li Weiyi enlarges the traditional Chinese character “夢” (dream) to nearly three meters and suspends it in the space, allowing viewers to glimpse their own reflections in its mirrored surface. The first work that visitors encounter upon entering the exhibition is Wang Haiyang’s Golden Flow, in which countless golden sequins are set in motion by a “golden exhalation.” Wang Sishun forges a piece of gold into a cube based on the golden ratio, revealing a unity between form and material.
