Evening Timekeeper, 2018, engraved brass plate, halogen bulbs, 46.8 × 46.8 × 10 cm

Evening Timekeeper provides a structure that can be continuously updated, allowing for phased timing of a long-term project. The copper disc is divided clockwise into six chapters, each further subdivided into sections. Each beam of light corresponds to a completed work currently on display (a section). For the viewer, it serves as a map for guidance; for the artist, it functions as a timetable for the marathon of creation. When the project is ultimately complete, the entire timepiece will be illuminated, transforming into a fully realized sun.
