Air Force One, 2020, honey, wax, aluminum frame, 150 × 100 cm

In intelligence work, the accuracy and conciseness of information are paramount. At the same time, the transmission of such information often involves a form of concealment. “Invisible ink” is an old method of communicating secret messages, and also a game from childhood. In Air Force One, this technique is borrowed to present ambiguous information in the form of a poster. Honey is used as the medium, applied to paper, and then gently heated from the back with a flame. The energy of the fire transforms this sweet material into a message that is at once romantic and elusive.
