In life, what can "flesh thorns" be concretely represented as? Are they part of the body, or are they intangible?
Flesh thorns can take many forms in life, depending on the person. They could represent a sense of distance, hostility, loneliness, and so on. They are part of the body, but they change, and are mostly intangible. Soft materials that take the form of “thorns” may appear sharp, but they don't harm; they seem highly aggressive, yet they are nothing more than naked self-deception.
