The boundary between “pornography” and “erotica” lies in how different regions and cultures understand these concepts. Everyone carries their own line within themselves. For me, erotica is serious—it has no entertainment function. It is a lens through which we observe human nature.

“The most beautiful works arise from the most repressed desires.” This is a law of nature. When a person reaches total physical and mental satisfaction, there is no obsession—and creation precisely requires a fierce fixation on an idea. Artistic practice is an examination and re-recognition of the self. Desire is the very root force that drives creation.
