On the afternoon of January 10, 2024, CHAO Art Center hosted an Art Talk titled “Two Visions of Contemporary Uruguayan Art”, featuring renowned Uruguayan artists Pedro Peralta and Florencia de Palleja. During the talk, the artists shared their recent creative journeys and offered unique perspectives on the contemporary art scene in Uruguay. Through an open conversation, they explored the intersections of materiality, memory, and emotion in their work, revealing how individual experiences and cultural contexts shape artistic expression.

Currently, both artists are undertaking a printmaking residency at the CHAO Printmaking Studio, where they continue to experiment with techniques and concepts, extending their exploration of form and narrative within the medium of printmaking.
