Meng Luding
Meng Luding is a pioneering Chinese contemporary artist known for his role in the 1985 “New Wave” art movement. Born in 1962, he graduated from the Central Academy of Fine Arts. His early work, such as The Last Supper (1985), challenged traditional art forms and ideology. Over the years, Meng explored abstract, symbolic, and spiritually infused styles, often reflecting on Chinese culture, personal belief, and metaphysical themes. He is also an influential educator, promoting artistic experimentation and innovation in China’s contemporary art scene.
