  • When did you first become interested in the "Silk Road"? What is the most fascinating aspect to you? Have you visited any relevant cities for your creative work?

My interest in the Silk Road began with the filming in 2012, inspired by Xuanzang's journey to India in search of scriptures. His belief was also a journey to find the truth. I chose locations like the ancient city of Gaochang in Xinjiang and the Stone City at the foot of the Kunlun Mountains, where the ruins are the closest to their original form.

  • In your exhibition, besides the flat works, there are many animal-shaped sculptures and specimens. Are they related to the concept of "waiting for the rabbit by the tree stump"?

Waiting for the Rabbit by the Tree Stump is a prophetic world where the only thing that can wait is time. In reality, all we can see are the long ears of the rabbit.
