Niko de La Faye

Niko de la Faye is a French multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans kinetic sculpture, performance, installation, and photography. Known for blending engineering with poetic visual language, he often explores the relationship between the human body, movement, and constructed machines. His long-term project Mécanique Vivante exemplifies his interest in mobility and transformation, featuring modular structures activated through performance. Working between Europe and Asia, Niko brings together craft, technology, and personal narrative to create works that invite viewers to reflect on balance, resilience, and the subtle dialogue between man and mechanism.

CHAO WINDOW Project

Niko de La Faye - SEED

The first CHAO WINDOW Project was officially unveiled on May 29, 2019. French artist Niko de La Faye presents his latest installation and eco-friendly jewelry series “SEED" through recycled paper and video in the window. After burying the jewelry seeds in the ground, the material will naturally degrade and assist the strawberry seeds to grow into fruits. Continuing his ongoing artistic investigations, the series extends his use of primary colors and fundamental geometric forms, which he previously applied to fashion accessories. Through this project, de La Faye introduces a refined visual language that reflects both the continuity and evolution of his practice.
