Artist
Lin Yingxuan
Lin Yingxuan, born in 1997 in Taiwan, China, is currently pursuing a PhD in Art at the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, focusing on contemporary art practice and research. She earned her master’s degree from the Department of Art and Design at National Tsing Hua University, Taiwan, in 2024. Her work primarily centers on hard-edged linear painting and installation, using materials such as acrylic paint, plaster primers, paper tape, and scrapers. For her, stepping beyond existing frameworks brings her closer to her artistic ideals, allowing her to translate observations of color onto the canvas through repeated lines, color blocks, and the dynamic interplay of complementary hues.
